History of Victoria Hospital Lusaka Zambia

Victoria Hospital was conceived as an idea by a successful Zambian businessman and two young Zambian doctors. The idea came up after the young doctors felt a burning desire to give back to the people of Zambia, the skills and knowledge they gained after they received their training at the University Of Zambia School of medicine.

Within five days of the idea being conceived Victoria Medical centre and hospital was born. From very modest beginnings at a small outpatient clinic in the central business district of Lusaka, Victoria Hospital has grown to be one of the most sought after private medical institutions in the land. The dedication, knowledge and kindness of the staff coupled with the use of advanced screening and diagnostic services have made this institution to be a key player in the Zambian medical industry.

The quest to ever improve the services it offers the clientele has led to the establishment of a new multi specialty facility in the Kalundu area of Lusaka. This facility will have over 30 beds for admission, a well equipped laboratory, a high care unit for adults and pediatric patients, two operating theatres and a host of other services.

The vision of this institution is to be a multi specialty referral hospital in 10 years and going by the strides we have taken this is not too much to ask for.
